Drinkworks is a joint venture between Keurig Green Mountain (now known as Keurig Dr. Pepper) and Anheuser Busch. This company developed a single-serve alcoholic beverage system. This system places a "pod," which contains the desired beverage formulation, into an appliance that chills, mixes, and carbonates the beverage, which is then dispensed into a glass.

At Drinkworks I was a Design Engineer on the Beverage Packaging team. This team was mainly responsible for both the design and manufacture of the 50mL and 100mL pod assembly, which is the disposable single-serve package that contains the beverage formulation. The team was also responsible for design and manufacture of the secondary and tertiary packaging of the pod assembly, though my main focus was on the pod assembly design.

As a member of the Beverage Packaging team I was responsible for creating 3D and 2D CAD for the pod design, developing documentation and test protocol, commissioning parts off of high-cavity tooling, and interfacing with contract manufacturers for tool development and qualification.

I took the lead on the main packaging innovation project to redesign one of the components of the pod assembly. For this project I took the design from its initial prototype phase through initial tooling for mass production.
