SharkNinja is a designer and distributor of home appliances and devices. Their two brands, Shark and Ninja, include products such as vacuums, blenders, multicookers, and others.

I worked as a co-op on the Shark Engineering R&D team, which designs and develops products like vacuums and other similar devices and appliances. I was responsible for the development of multiple test fixtures and procedures, which made use of rapid prototyping via 3D printing. My main project was the development and running of a design competition for vacuum brush bars - this required the creation of both a repeatable test procedure and fixturing, as well as acceptable criteria to evaluate the performance of each brush bar.
